Disclaimer, Credits and Legal Stuff
Note that I am not claiming to be qualified
as an instructor of wilderness or survival skills or farming or anything else that is mentioned on this website (or anywhere). I myself am nothing but a (hopefully) humble student
of these skills.
This website is meant
as a
description
of what
I
am learning, of what I am intending to learn, and of why I am interested
in learning
it.
Any use to which you put this
material is entirely at your own risk.

DISCLAIMER
All of the information on this website
is offered with the assumption that you and others will
exercise proper caution and care in doing any of the things
that are presented on this site. YOU, and ONLY YOU, are
responsible for the use to which you put this material.
Some activities related to wilderness
survival and self sufficiency can be dangerous if done without proper care and
attention. Please be careful and attentive when engaging
in any of these activities. Use common sense. Take proper
precautions.
Some of the techniques shown on this website are meant solely
for use in wilderness survival situations. Please
note that in most places it is illegal to use these methods
to capture animals unless you are actually in a survival
situation. It is similarly illegal to "harvest" or otherwise
disturb native plants in many locations, including within the
boundaries of national parks.
WARNING: Never eat
plants that are growing in an area where they may have been sprayed
with pesticides or herbicides (weed killers), or where the water
supply to the area could be polluted, such as from urban or industrial
run-off. Never eat any part of any wild growing plant unless you are certain you can identify it. Being certain means you have developed a maturity of skill in identifying plants. It does not mean you are pretty sure it looks just like "that plant you saw once on some website".

Financial Support
If you find this site helpful like a book you might have had to buy, or a workshop or course you may have had to take, please consider helping me to continue helping everyone.
It has taken me many years of unpaid time to put together the information contained in this website. If you have enjoyed and/or learned something from this website, and you would like to contribute, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
If you haven't helped yet, please do, and consider helping me with a gift of $5.00.
Book Purchases
I get a percentage (I think it is about 4%) of the price of
books purchased from Amazon.com via this website. I think it
works for any books (or products) that they sell provided you get there from a link on this website, not just
the ones I have mentioned. So (as I understand it) if you get to Amazon.com via any of the links on this website,
and you search for and buy anything at all from them,
some of that will go towards this website.
The price
to
you
(the
buyer)
is
the same as otherwise. I am not
expecting to make a lot of money from this (from 2006 to September 2009 it has been about $30 so far), but hopefully it
will offest somewhat the hosting costs for this site.
I am not currently getting (not have previously received) any percentage or other form of payment from the non-amazon books on this website.
Acknowlegdements
This website is intended to be a chronicle of my own learning, my
own education in sustainable living and wildnerness survival skills.
My teachers, the native elders of my lineage, are the people who
I have
quoted
throughout
the site, and listed in the resources
section. It is to them that the credit for the material presented
on this site belongs.
